Is Meat Dangerous? - Japanese

¥600

The Chinese character 'Kusaru' (which means to go rotten) is made of two parts: the top section means body, the bottom section means meat.

What this combination of characters is saying is that meat inside the body goes bad (becomes rotten). In the book we learn that in the process of passing through the body, meat creates carcinogens that stimulate the intestinal walls. This can result in cancer.

As westerners tend to have shorter intestines than Japanese, they can eliminate the poisons from their bodies more quickly than Japanese. This book thus concludes that it is not healthy for Japanese to eat meat.

Written by Dr. Sadao Mayumi, a pediatritian who has been curing children just by changing their diet and lifestyle.
